If you meet arrogant co-workers, try to make yourself aloof for some time. At first, it’s better for you not to deepen your relationship with them. For instance, don’t talk more about yourself, or about your family, don’t have your coffee or lunch with them during the break time. Whereas you keep distance from them, you should have an eagle eye that is scanning arrogant people around you. Keep watching carefully their behaviors towards you and other co-workers and with their leaders, the way they talk, and the language they use; foul or kind language.

Be Friendly with them: After scanning them, you might find out the reason behind their arrogance; it may stem from their lack of confidence, low-self-esteem, insecurity, or jealousy of others. At that moment you realize that they are very weak and you may feel pity for them. So don’t over stress and try to help them getting rid of this weakness. Now, you know the key you use and the way through which you can deal with them. Know how to draw them closer by kind words, and pleasing situations. For example, praise them for the good traits they have in their character, and for the achievements they make at work. Praising them doesn’t lead you to be a hypocrite, because they are not your leader or manager, so you don’t praise them for getting a promotion, for example, as they don’t have the privileges your leaders have. In addition, if you are ordered to work with them on a project, co-operate with them with a smile face.
